The mandate of Homo Air Ectus is to “take back the walls” by eradicating unsightly graffiti and replacing it with murals that reflect the history, traditions, beliefs, aspirations and goals of the local community.
Our organization is a network of graffiti artists, aspiring youth artists and educators. We have completed several outdoor murals in the City of Toronto and its environs.
Homo Air Ectus began when Homo crew was formed in the summer of 1996 following the completion of the Ravina Gardens Mural Project.
Every year that the Homo Crew has worked on a mural it has been with a different group of artists and youth.
We always use local artists, and we work closely with community organizations to develop mural design
