Charrois

Jean-Baptist and Claudia Charrois came to Legal with their 10 children. They brought with them the loom depicted in this mural. A loom was very much a basic necessity of life for our ancestors then. It served to make blankets, clothing or linens. The setting on the mural is a winter night in about 1945. The Charrois loom is in the Provincial Museum and archives of Alberta, in Edmonton, Alberta.
