Les Soeurs-Grises (The grey nuns) Most communities owe a great debt of gratitude to the religious orders who devoted themselves to fulfill the great need of education and health services. As time went by, the Grey Nuns took on other work in addition to their original mission. Today, they work more in the social field: battered women, the aged, the handicapped, but always serving those most in need in society.
