CHFA Radio was very important in the early century. The first albertan radio in French was CHFA which stands for Courage Honor Fierté (Pride) and Amour (Love). Opposition at the time, felt that a French radio station was a camouflage for the Catholic Church to inflitrate Canadian politics rather than seeing it as a tool to network the French speaking community.
