A Child’s Christmas, Early 1900’s

Artist: David Kieller, Bruderheim, AB
Size: 528 sq. It, 1992

Dorothy (Willie) Rippell remembers, as a child, attending church service on Christmas Eve. The weather is cold with plenty of snow. The big sleigh has been made ready with straw on the bottom of the box, warm blankets, pillows and chairs. With the jingle of bells on the horses, the family returns home from the children’s concert and exchange gifts and candy. The northern lights dance across the midnight sky and they count the falling stars and look for the big and little dipper — good things and good folks.
