One of the first
livery stables was built by Joe Zucht in 1905. It was located just east
of Main Street. A livery barn was a place where horses would be watered,
fed, and taken care of, or where one could rent a horse and buggy.
Today’s version of a livery barn would be a garage or an automotive
shop, albeit lacking the special atmosphere. |
